“Gentile” is an elegant, seamless shoulder cowl knit top-down, in the round.

You start at the top with a decorative lace border that changes into twisted ribbing. Immediately after the neck opening, you continue with a series of decorative increases to shape the shoulders. The yoke is knit in a stranded color work pattern and is shaped using a series of increases hidden in the color pattern chart.

The bottom of the shoulder cowl has a twisted rib border to match the neck border

Gentile di Lucania is a 2-ply carded sport weight yarn that is gently twisted. Knitting with this extraordinarily soft, voluminous, and light yarn is a true pleasure.

RECCOMENDED CARE

Handle our soft and delightful yarn with care. It's delicate nature requires gentle attention for a soft, airy fluff finish. Be mindful of its fragility when winding and knitting with it. With proper care, your final product will showcase the beauty of this yarn without any compromise in quality.

WET-BLOCKING

  1. Fill a sink or basin with cold water.
  2. Submerge the fabric in water, gently squeezing out any air bubbles so that the piece can remain under water without being held there.
  3. Soak work for 30 minutes or longer allowing fabric to become completely saturated.
  4. Remove excess moisture by rolling your fabric between clean, dry towels with light pressure.
  5. Lay fabric flat and shape to air dry.
